The house does not go on sale, no photos are taken and no viewers come. There is plenty of room for personal items, such as family photos, children’s drawings and art on the wall that you like.

Home staging is exactly the other way around. It is a very strong marketing tool to sell a property as quickly as possible and for the highest possible price. So the idea is that as many people as possible already see themselves living in that house. That becomes a lot more difficult with a photo of your grandparents on the cupboard, drawings of your kids on the wall and books and newspapers everywhere that you like to read. The viewers are visiting you. And you don’t want that.

The house gets a makeover and is made ready for sale. It is assumed that the interior is as neutral as possible without personal items. We temporarily clean them up.
We use the furniture and accessories that are already there as much as possible. There are people who find it difficult to live in such a ‘model home’. But to start with, that’s really not too bad, and besides, you’re going to move anyway. You might as well start packing and cleaning up now. Saves again.
