Most people immediately think of interior styling when they think of homestaging. Quite understandable but there is a big difference between the two.
Interior styling is all about the people who live there. What do they find beautiful, in which do they feel at home. What style do they like. What do they need? Think of a workplace or children’s room or both. In other words. We’ll make your house a home. You as a resident(s) should feel comfortable there. The house does not go on sale, no photos are taken and no viewers come. There is plenty of room for personal items, such as family photos, children’s drawings and art on the wall that you like.
Interior styling makes your house a home.
Home staging is exactly the other way around. It is a very strong marketing tool to sell a property as quickly as possible and for the highest possible price. So the idea is that as many people as possible already see themselves living in that house. That becomes a lot more difficult with a photo of your grandparents on the cupboard, drawings of your kids on the wall and books and newspapers everywhere that you like to read. The viewers are visiting you. And you don’t want that.
Home staging turns your home into a home.
The house gets a makeover and is made ready for sale. It is assumed that the interior is as neutral as possible without personal items. We temporarily clean them up.
We use the furniture and accessories that are already there as much as possible. There are people who find it difficult to live in such a ‘model home’. But to start with, that’s really not too bad, and besides, you’re going to move anyway. You might as well start packing and cleaning up now. Saves again.
And then of course the pictures.
Do not underestimate the importance of good photos. Judging by the photos of the house, interested parties make an appointment for a viewing. Good photos on a home portal attracts more viewers.
The home staging ensures that the house looks its best so that the photographer can take beautiful photos.
And then of course social media, via Facebook and Instagram you see many beautiful photos passing by. It is fantastic if you can share beautiful and good photos of your home.
Did you know, for example, that searchers decide in less than 15 seconds whether they want to view a property.
In short: are you going to sell your house and do you want to get the best possible price for it? Then choose home staging. It yields much more than it costs!
